Hiding cold sores
As you probably know, your cold sore will go through stages. In fact, cold sores must run their course, and hiding cold sores isn’t easy. But tetraVIV can shorten the duration and ease your discomfort along the way.
The cold sore tingle
If this is your first cold sore, you probably started to notice a little tingle on or above your lip…for you non-first timers, you definitely know that “time to get ready to fight” tingly feeling. At this phase, cold sores maybe less noticeable, but you could have redness or swelling. tetraVIV can help reduce the swelling or redness that may occur at this stage.
The cold sore blister
In next stages of your cold sore, blisters form and ooze and burst. Yeah, not pretty. You may be tempted to try to cover it up. It’s important to continue applying tetraVIV during this phase because it works even after the tingle. tetrVIV shortens the duration of each stage. And its analgesic and healing properties make you feel the healing. If you want to apply at bit of makeup, let the medication get absorbed before applying any cosmetics. If your cold sore oozes, tab gently, do not try to wipe your cold sore blister to avoid aggravating the cold sore.
The cold sore scab
The good news (or slightly better news) is, when your cold sore begins to scab, it really means you’re in the home stretch. In order to prevent the scab from cracking, keep applying tetraVIV. The active ingredients, skin protectants, and emollients in tetraVIV continue to reduce the pain on contact.
In case you haven’t heard, acidic foods aren’t good for healing cold sores. Until it fully heals, we suggest you avoid Taco Tuesday’s, salt around the rim of your margherita, fra diavola sauce on your pasta, and other foods and beverages that are sources of acid.
Healing with confidence
One final note, a cold sore on the lip is difficult to hide, but it is reality for many of us, and with some care, the hit to our self-esteem can be minimized. We encourage in some of our articles to dress or wear your favorite outfit or play your favorite music. Not because its going to be distracting, but rather because it makes you feel better and more confident.
